Tenuta Polvaro, beyond the villa

As it often happens with beautiful things, it occurred by chance. A few weeks ago, a dear friend contacted us requesting the villa’s availability to celebrate her 40th birthday. The idea was to take advantage of this early autumn’s mild temperatures and organize an informal evening with dancing, possibly taking place outdoors.

Il barco, una nuova location eventi

At the end of the village park, there is a structure that was once a barchessa of the villa; over the years, it has been used as a shelter for tools and work materials. The Barco overlooks a large courtyard. The Barco overlooks a large courtyard that we decided to put back in order and renovate before the beginning of summer; we aimed to preserve its original charm, to use it for various occasions.

Looking ahead towards the evening, which we were invited to, we could see the location’s potential: it is a truly versatile and authentic space. For the first time, the venue was used to host a birthday party, which revealed the location’s potential, leaving plenty of room and freedom for creativity in organizing future celebrations. We imagine it as a theater for performances or concerts, an ancient courtyard full of spaces suitable for open-air dinners with friends, illuminated by a myriad of golden lights. It can also be ideal to have a country-style wedding with wooden barrels and hay bales to characterize the scenography.

The Barco is an area of the Tenuta Polvaro that can accommodate more than 100 people. Completely independent from the rest of the village, it is easily manageable for catering and installation (fitting) teams, speaking in organizational terms. It can be used throughout most of the year, if not in the evening, at least during the day (as long as the sun continues to warm, Barbara’s note).

Adjacent to the barchessa, a gate opens onto another area of the estate that we particularly love: the green avenue between the vineyards. A large tree standing at the base of this avenue served as a setting for a special project, where we got to participate in the action as a whole family. We will surely have an opportunity to tell you all about it on a different occasion.

Now, finally, let the images speak rather than words.
