Tenuta Polvaro serves as a beacon, carrying on a history of excellence essential in enhancing the viticulture tradition, while preserving and respecting a regional landmark for generations to come.
Situated in Annone Veneto, just a few km from Venice, Tenuta Polvaro’s home is in the rich winemaking Lison Pramaggiore heartland famous, since ancient times, for the production of wines such as the Lison Classico D.O.C.G. (known in the past as Tocai).
An ideal temperate, breezy climate with an average annual temperature of 11°C is the result of its proximity to the Dolomites mountain range, the Veneto-Friulane Pre-Alps and the shores of the Adriatic. The clay soil, rich in nutrients, infuse life into the grapes, becoming the main propeller of excellence for the wines produced between the Livenza and Tagliamento rivers.
Vineyards
Tenuta Polvaro’s wine production is closely linked to the lands that surround it. Lison, Chardonnay, Glera, Pinot Grigio, Pinot Bianco, Traminer, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Malbech are the vines whose processing guarantees a quality product, cultivated with the Guyot and spurred- cordon systems.
The harvested grapes are transformed in the company cellar where the most modern oenological techniques are employed to enhance the uniqueness of the wines. The maturation process takes place then in the barrel room.
With sustainability as a core tenet of the company, Tenuta Polvaro is SQNPI certified for its production system with minimal environmental impact.
