The 57th edition of the Italian National Wine Exhibition in Pramaggiore has brought great satisfaction to Tenuta Polvaro. Indeed, in addition to winning the gold medal for all its wines entered into competition, Tenuta Polvaro has earned the prestigious VENETO Più accolade for its Merlot DOC, which has obtained the highest score in the whole red wine category from Veneto.
Pramaggiore April 2018.
Held in the heart of the Lison-Pramaggiore D.O.C.G. wine district in the Veneto region, the 57th Italian National Wine Exhibition in Pramaggiore awarded Polvaro wines with the Gold Medal, the highest accolade. This emphasizes not only the quality of these products but also the constant commitment of our Family to preserve and enhance this beautiful wine territory.
Polvaro Merlot D.O.C. is the best red wine of the Veneto region
Tenuta Polvaro Merlot D.O.C. has earned the prestigious "VENETO Più" award for obtaining the highest score in the whole red wine category from Veneto, beating off the most famous red wines of Valpolicella. We are even more pleased with this award since the Awarding Board was chaired by one of the greatest national and international experts of Merlot, the winemaker Riccardo Cotarella, President of Assoenologi.
“We are extremely proud of this award since it shows that our passion and research for quality is recognized by the best experts in the sector” – says Caterina De Zan, owner of Tenuta Polvaro.
The 57th edition of the National Exhibition of Wines of Pramaggiore was particularly rich, with more than 10,000 wines entered into competition from 600 different labels. This is the oldest enological event in Italy that rewards every year D.O.C., D.O.C.G., and I.G.T. wines from all Italian regions.
